219/365

Today we hung our around mom's house again and then headed to Tiffany's house to swim this evening.  The kids had a great time but when we came home Jaci got sick and threw up.  She is acting like she feels better right now so hopefully we can make it through the rest of the night without her throwing up any more.  Hopefully it was just something she ate today.
They boys are having a great time so hopefully this will pass fast and we won't have to head home tomorrow.
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

218/365

Tonight we celebrated Jaci's 4th Birthday.
(Although her actual birthday isn't for a few more days.)
We enjoyed some good food, some good cake and ice cream and then the presents.
It was a fun night for my little princess.
I think the boys also enjoyed themselves although they don't like to admit to enjoying anything princess.
It was a nice evening.
Happy Birthday Jaci!

217/365

Today was the big day at the Dentist for the kids.  I was dreading it!  They were dreading it!
I bribed them and they did WONDERFUL!
Seriously I am so proud of them esp. Tyler and Jaci since they didn't do well at all the last time I took them.
(As in we were prying Tyler's mouth open so that the dentist could just count his teeth!)
Today Tyler went and did the x-rays without me there and did wonderful.  He actually let them clean his teeth as well.  All things that didn't happen last time.
I am so proud to report that all of them are cavity free and their teeth look perfect.  Jacob had to have braces and his family has a history of the boys having missing teeth.  It is something we have worried about since we first had Jackson.  Thankfully it looks like they have my teeth which are straight with none missing!
What a relief!
After their appointment we headed to Target for school supplies and then for lunch at Chick fil A.
We love us some Chick fil A!  Sadly it is something we don't get often anymore because it just isn't convenient to us.  It was delicious and the kids were so happy to get to go there!
We are now at mom's house and having a great time.  Jacob stayed home to work and take care of things around the house.
(Oh...did I mention that I am comfortably sitting in a house with AC...ahhhh...it is wonderful!)

216/365

Tonight the kids did a little more swimming while I packed to go to my mom's house tomorrow.  We are just going in for the weekend to escape the heat and celebrate Jaci's birthday.
Today I talked to a Pediatric allergist in Dallas who has a peanut desensitization program.  This is something that is VERY new and just finished up the trial phase but so far has had wonderful results and has been done in Europe for years.  Before there was simply nothing you could do for a peanut allergy other than completely avoid them  After talking to them and discussing the program we have decided we are going to move forward with it.  It will be a long expensive process that will have us traveling to Dallas every week for 4-6 months.  We are on the waiting list for a new patient appointment and will discuss when the best time to start the program will be.  Ideally we would start in May and go through the summer but we will see.  There would be some benefits to starting it right away but school would be an issue.  At least we have the ball rolling and hopefully after the initial program and a 3 year maintenance program Jackson will no longer be allergic to peanuts.  It is a HUGE commitment but one that we all feel is worth it.  As it is now Jackson is scared to go to camps, school, birthday parties etc. because he is so worried peanuts will be there.  That is no way to go through life.
Tomorrow after art camp all of the kids have dentist appointments.  Last year when we took them it didn't go so well so I am a bit worried.  Wish me luck.  I will be there ALONE with all 3 do it has the potential to be a disaster of epic proportions.  Let's hope that a year of maturity will make things so much easier!

215/365

Today was another miserably HOT day topped off by an evening of swimming.
Jackson started art camp today at the Old Jail Art Center.  I just love all of the programs they have for kids.  He loved it!  He goes back to another workshop tomorrow and Thursday and then won't have another class until the mid August.
The little kids enjoyed a lot key day at home playing games, coloring and dancing on the Wii.
Tomorrow will probably be just like today.  It is just too hot to do anything else.
I hope you all are surviving the heat!

214/365

It was another hot day here and Jackson was still sick.  This evening after a dose of Motrin he did feel good enough to go get some okra out of our garden.  I am planning on pickling it.  Tyler can eat an entire jar of pickled okra in one sitting so it will be nice to have some that we actually make.  I think they will enjoy it.
I am so happy to see how the kids really love their small garden.
With Jackson being sick and laying around most of the day Ty and Jaci enjoyed some quality time together.  They played games most of the afternoon.  (Note to self...battleship is not a game for small kids.  We have battleship markers ALL over their room!)
It is good to see them play so well together.  I know Jaci has missed him this summer

213/365

Welcome to August and 7 straight months of blogging with pictures for my 365 Project.
Yay!
Only 5 more months (or 152 days) to go!
We didn't do much today because it was 105 degrees outside.  It was miserable hot outside and it was miserable hot inside our house.  Everyone was kind of off today and didn't even want to swim.
Jackson has been running a fever all day.  It was about 87 degrees in our house today between the heat outside and the heat inside from me cooking a roast all day.  The oven just heats up this house beyond belief.  Even with it being so hot in here he was bundled up under a blanket all day.  Last time I checked him about 45 minutes ago his temp was 102.6.  That's pretty hot for him.
Hoping for a better day tomorrow.
