200/365

The main thing missing from MeMe's house (other than Jacob) was the fact that I forgot to bring the kids bikes along.
They weren't too happy about that!
So...although they were really sad to leave MeMe's house and come home, they were happy to see their daddy and ride their bikes.

199/365

These kids are going to be really sad to leave MeMe's house tomorrow.
We spent a lot of the day inside because the kids have just had so much sun and the temps are just so miserable.  Even with sunscreen on the kids are burning so we waited to swim until this evening.
They were so happy to finally get in the pool!

After supper and baths we did some reading and then Jaci sat with Grandma and had her very first piano lesson.
This piano was in my grandma's house all through my childhood and we have pictures of all of us sitting at the piano with her.  It has been in storage for 11 years and is finally out.  I love that my kids are now sitting at the same piano that I sat at growing up.  It makes me happy!

Another day of fun here!  We worked this morning to move the last of Grandma's stuff out of storage and then spent the afternoon in the pool.
After swimming Zach decided to take the kids for a spin on the lawn mower.  Tyler had been wanting to take a ride but mom can't take him because she is still recovering from her surgery.  The boys were so happy to be able to go for a ride.
Tonight we cooked a wonderful meal and enjoyed the evening.
We will probably do more of the same tomorrow!

Today was another day packed full of fun for the kids.
We headed to the park first thing this morning and played for a hour.
After lunch and a nap it was time to hit the pool.
The kids had a lot of fun swimming and playing outside.
It was a great afternoon.
Tonight the kids were wiped out so we had an early bath and got ready for bed early.
Bedtime at MeMe's house always includes a chocolate right after a bath.
And then they were off to bed.
Looking forward to another day full of fun tomorrow!

Today was a fun day!  We started off the morning by heading to the new school playground here in Robert Lee.  I have been hearing about the playground and last time we drove through town the kids were begging to go.  It is awesome!
It was a great way to burn off some energy before we went shopping.  I think we will be going back every day until we leave.
We spent the rest of the day in San Angelo shopping.  Tiffany is looking for stuff for Rhett's big boy room and I am always looking for ideas for when we get our house built.  (I can dream can't I?)  Tomorrow we are going to the playground again and then will probably spend the rest of the day swimming and playing with the kitties.  The kids are having the best time with them.

We made it into Robert Lee this afternoon around 3 and the kids were so excited to get here and see their kitties.
Poor babies didn't know what to think about what all was happening around them!
(Although I think they did enjoy all of the attention!)
We swam most of the evening and then came in and had some wonderful Chicken and Dumplings my grandma made.  That is one of my favorite meals (as well as the kids) so it was a wonderful treat to come in and have that waiting for us.
After supper we relaxed and watched a movie (while snuggling...or trying to snuggle) the kitties.
Tomorrow we are heading to San Angelo for some park time and shopping.  It should be a fun tiring day!
It is so nice to be here and be away from that little house.  I had kind of reached a breaking point being there so this is a welcome break from our living situation.

Houston...we have a problem.  My speedometer decided to go out today.  I think I was going about 15mph here.  (Otherwise I wouldn't have taken a picture!)  Not sure what is going on with it but I am going to Robert Lee tomorrow and am not looking forward to making the trip not knowing how fast I am going.  It is going to make for a LONG stressful trip.  If I get stopped do you think they will buy the excuse that my speedometer is broken?
Today Jackson went to summer camp while Tyler and Jaci went with me to Abilene for Tyler's doctor appointment.  They took the kids to the pool in Breckenridge today and despite Jackson having sunscreen on he got burned REALLY bad!  He had a blast though.  One of his classmates was there and was going off of the high dive so Jackson decided he would give it a try.  (With a life jacket of course since he isn't the greatest swimmer.)  He is usually such a big chicken but I guess having a friend there doing it made him decide he could do it.  He was so proud of himself!  I am happy that he is trying new things and getting out of his comfort zone.  This camp has been such a positive thing for him.
Tyler's appointment went well today.  I like the doctor but do not like his office or staff.  It just might be a deal breaker for me.  Everyone recommended these guys to me but they are just too large of a practice.  I wasn't impressed.  Tyler is 47 lbs and 3'9".  He hasn't grown a whole lot over the past year.  The steroids he takes for his lungs have been shown to stunt growth but once he gets off of them he should start growing normally again.  Hopefully he will get off of them eventually.  Tyler was always above average in his height and weight so I would consider him to be perfectly normal now.
Our little princess impatiently waiting for tomorrow when we head to MeMe's house.  She is ready to go and see everyone and play with her kitty.  She hasn't stopped talking about it for the past 2 days!
