Grades K-5 music and dance recital.  It was adorable!  Albany ISD has an amazing staff and some amazing parents for getting this all together.  It was just too cute for words!

Every time we go to a school function here in Albany I am reminded why we moved here. The peace I feel seeing Jackson interact with his classmates, teachers and other parents gives me so much comfort. I might feel sad and miss my friends but my child is thriving. He is so happy. He is working so hard and learning so much and I love seeing the transformation he is going through. This is where we needed to be.

Jacob is also so happy with his job. It is amazing how his attitude has changed since being here. I will get there...it just takes time. What I do know is that I have amazing friends who I can travel to see and who will travel to see me and who I talk to daily. I miss them, but friendships like this aren't lost when one moves away they last forever. It has been hard for me lately, but nights like tonight give me great comfort in knowing that this was the right decision for our FAMILY.

This picture of Jaci is also pretty cute.  She is either totally off or on with her picture taking.  When she is on she is a poser.  Cracks me up!

I've had a miserable headach all last night and all day today so I am only posting pictures tonight.  I can't even think straight to write a post.  Thankfully nothing interesting happened today.  :)  Oh...it is Cinco De Mayo and my Grandma's 70th Birthday so Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today was a super busy day but it was a good day.  This morning the kids and I went to the Old Jailhouse Art Museum here in Albany for Toddler Tuesday.  They have it the first Tuesday of every month.  They reado a story, talk about a piece of art, sing songs and make an art project.  It was a lot of fun and the kids LOVED it!  They made clay pots (more like bowls) today. 

I don't know why I didn't think to take a picture of them with their finished project other than I was busy visiting with another parent.  We had met her at Wal-Mart in Abilene a few weeks ago and she is really nice.  I was happy to see someone friendly who actually wanted to visit with me.

This afternoon we worked on the house plans.  Our builder came and met us here and we spent 2.5 hours working on plans and discussing lots etc.  We hope to have a final plan by next week.  After we were done meeting with the builder we headed out to Jackson's school for an Art project show.  It was pretty small but he was proud to show off his work.  (I didn't take my camera because we were rushing out the door and I forgot.)  We came home and had pizza and now everyone is peacefully sleeping.  Hopefully tomorrow won't be quite as busy.

Today the kids and I went and met Tiffany in Abilene for the day.  It was a fun busy day.  We got home around 7 and rushed through supper and baths so I really wasn't thinking about taking pictures.  I'm not in much of a blogging mood right now so I am going to keep this short.  Have a great night!

Just Dance Videos

Today we just had a low key day around the house.  It was nice and relaxing.  I was sad that Gale and Bonnie are gone but I was smiling all day long that I have such wonderful friends.

Tonight after the kids had their bath we played our new Wii game Just Dance.  It is SO much fun!  Gale and her girls introduced us to the game this Winter and I have wanted to get it ever since then.  I finally broke down last week and got it.  We all had a lot of fun playing.  Jaci is so good at it.  Much better than the boys.  It was funny to watch how intense she was.  Jackson hated being beat by her.  I guess all the months of dance class paid off.  Jacob and I also had fun playing each other and the kids.  It is by far my favorite game that we have.  (and it is an awesome cardio workout!)

Jackson has the day off tomorrow so we are probably going to go to Abilene and meet up with Tiffany.  Should be a fun day.  It is always great to get out of the house and see her and Rhett.

121/365 Four months of blogging!

There are very few people who come into your life who you know are truly your friends. Not just casual friends but the kind of friends who you know you can always count on. The kind of friends who you can completely be yourself around and not have to worry about being judged. The kind of friends who love your children and who your children love. Up until just a few short years ago I hadn't found that in a girlfriend. I have always had a hard time trusting girls as friends because they can be so shallow and will turn on you at the drop of a hat. I just didn't want to deal with that. That was until I met Bonnie and Gale. They are different. They are special. They are the kind of friends who I know I likely won't find again. I will make other friends but I don't think they will ever be friends like these. I wouldn't expect to be that lucky again.

Last night was so much fun. We laughed, we ate, we drank, we played games...it was just what I needed. We stayed at a local bed and breakfast in their bunkhouse and had the best time. It was around 1:30 or 2 when we went to bed. It kind of felt like summer camp. It was wonderful!

Today we went to Jackson's final 2 baseball games. I am always a little happy but sad to see the season end. Jackson had a bad first game but the second game is was great. I was really proud of him. He had a pretty good season. It is fun to watch how they improve from season to season.

Ty eating at the game.  A pear and one of Gale's carrots.  He had 6 yesterday and around 4-5 today.  He loves her carrots.

After baseball we went out to eat and then Bonnie, Gale and I went shopping in downtown Albany. It was fun. We explored all of the little shops and pretty much spent the entire afternoon out shopping. I never would have guessed that you could spend that much time out shopping in our little town. It was fun and I met some really nice people.

Sadly they had to head home tonight. Gale's daughter has a rodeo tomorrow so she had to get back for that. I am sad that they are gone but it was great while it lasted! I am blessed!

So long baseball season 2010!

Oh...and today marks 4 straight months of blogging!  Can't believe I made it this long!
