Today we have been on the go all day long.  The little ones and I met Tiffany in Abilene today.  It was fun but not nearly long enough because I had to get back to pick Jackson up from school at 3.  I am so glad that we are now close enough that we can see eachother like that.  We will be doing it again soon!

When we got home we did homework, unloaded our stuff and then headed off to Breckenridge when Jacob got home.  We got back just in time for baths and bed.

Days like this wear me out but at least it gets us out of the house and feeling better about life.  I am in a much better frame of mind after today.  :)  I'm off to bed.  We are expecting strong storms to come through in the middle of the night so I am sure there won't be much sleeping in our house tonight.

Today was a tough day.  The kids were all having an off day and I'm not sure why.  I hate days like today but they make me thankful for the good days.  I am also just so homesick right now.  I miss my friends.  I miss having someone to talk to face to face.  I am just sad.

Jaci did have a sweet moment this morning when Jacob was leaving for work.  She was sitting on my lap and wouldn't give him a kiss goodbye and so he asked her if she loved him.  She said that she loved him a little bit.  I asked her if she loved me and she said, "Yes...I love you long."  I love how their little minds process things.

Although all of our moods today were miserable it was a beautiful day and I am thankful for that.  Tomorrow we are meeting Tiffany in Abliene so that should be fun.  A welcome change of pace.

Today I was so happy that Jackson didn't have baseball practice. It is always so busy on Tuesday with his tutoring and baseball and makes it hard to fit his homework in. Tonight he had a lot of homework and extra work from his tutoring. It made for a long afternoon for us.

After supper we went outside to play and ride bikes. The kids have been finding bird eggs around the yard and found another one tonight. Tyler wanted to put it where we found the other ones so he went and tucked it in. He was proud that he had taken care of it.

I am so happy that the weather is so nice and pleasant. I love not having to deal with the insane humidity that we had in Central Texas. You really couldn't enjoy Spring much there because even though it would only be in the 70's or 80's the humidity just made it miserable. I know West Texas summers are really hot (We were married around here outside in August and people still haven't let us forget the heat!) but at least it isn't humid on top of the heat!

109/65 Got to get a little mud on the tires...

We have been trapped in the house with cold weather and rain for DAYS now and the kids are more than restless.  Today was the first day since Thursday that it wasn't raining so the kids busted out and went bike riding.  It was COLD and MUDDY but they at least got out of the house

Tyler busted the tire on Jackson's smaller old blue bike that he had been riding so we had to get out his John Deere bike.  He loves his John Deere bike but the training wheel on it was messed up and he hasn't been riding it.  It is also a little larger than Jackson's old blue bike so it is a little difficult for him to ride.  He did ok on it with the training wheels off but had a hard time starting and stopping.  I think we will get a new tire and tube for the old bike until he gets just a little bigger.

Hopefully the sun will come out tomorrow and the mud will dry up a bit.  We are all tired of being in this house!

Today was a rainy lazy day around the house.  I looked at 2 more books of house plans as well as probably 300 online.  I have about 10 picked out for various reasons and we are going to take the things we like from all of those houses and hopefully come up with one of our own.  This process is not as fun as I thought I would be.  I didn't think that what we wanted was so uncommon but apparently it is.  Hopefully this will be the hardest part.

No fabulous pictures tonight.  We just didn't do anything interesting today but this picture does make me laugh.  Jackson and Tyler were playing with his helicopter in his room and I came in to take a picture and Jackson wanted me out.  He threatened me with the helicopter and moments later tried to throw it and fly it at me.  It backfired and came back on him and laied him out on the floor.

Tyler was jumping on his bed with excitement when that happened.  It was pretty funny.

Sorry...My pictures today are terrible.  We headed out this morning to go meet up with a builder in the Abilene area and were gone until 8:30 tonight.  It was a LONG day and we were all ready to get home.  By the time we got in and unloaded groceries and fed the kids they were in no mood for pictures.

It was kind of one of those flash a fake smile and yell DONE to me kind of nights.  I don't blame them.

We have been here exactly one month today and I am a little disappointed that we aren't at least a little further along in getting our house built although I am so happy to report that today we did find our builder.  I feel so relieved to have found one and he seems fabulous and offers a lot of things that others don't which is a HUGE plus.  He also is willing to do it within our budget.  I think we will be able to get a house close to exactly what we want and be able to do it within our budget.  Now we just need to find the plan we want!

In other news we have added 2 new members to our family.  We lost one fish and gained 2.  Jaci decided that since the boys each had a fish she needed one as well.  We couldn't argue with that.  We now have Snow White and Bubbles in addition to Kiss the goldfish.  The lady at Wal-Mart got a kick out of Snow White being and orange fish.  That's what happens when you let your kids name pets!  LOL

We had another rainy day around here today.  I am so happy for the rain.  Tonight we decided to have a family movie night topped off with Coke Floats.  The kids enjoyed the treat but Tyler got another one of his headaches in the middle of the movie and that kind of ruined his mood.  I hate when he gets them!  His being upset made Jaci unhappy and Jaci and Tyler being unhappy made Jackson unhappy and so my grand plans for a great family fun evening were not so grand.  We made it through the movie and put eveyone in bed and I am now happily enjoying a quiet house!

Tomorrow we are going to Abilene and meeting up with a few more builders.  I hope we find someone that will work for us.  We need to start doing something soon!
