Happy 4th of July!

We had a great day.  The kids swam some in their little pool (in between rain showers) and did some bike riding.  After supper we loaded up and went to Breckenridge to brave the rain and watch the fireworks.

They had quite a few festivities out at the lake.  They were giving out goodie bags to the kids with little flags.  The kids just loved it.  They also had a choir and band out there providing music up until it was time for the fireworks.  It was so nice though because everyone around the lake was shooting them off before the big show.

Did you know that this is the first year since having kids that we haven't had a screaming panicked child in our lap?  Crazy isn't it!  It was nice to just sit back and relax and enjoy the show.

I just LOVE this picture!  It is so cool when you look at it up close!  The orange is just awesome...I love the depth in it.

Jaci insisted on wearing her Hello Kitty rain boots all day today.  (Even thought they didn't match and I had her super cute sandals for her to wear but whatever!)  Some battles just aren't worth fighting...and it was raining.  When we got ready to leave for the fireworks she ran into her closet and grabbed all of her rain gear.  She did look super cute in it.  (Even though it covered up her red, white and blue and didn't match.)

This just cracks me up.
