345/365

Today we spent the day out at the house cleaning up.  This has become our Saturday routine.
Every Saturday we fill our entire dumpster (which is the largest you can get other than getting a roll off) with boards and trash.
It usually takes us all day long to sort the wood and decide what we want to keep and throw away and get it all hauled to the dumpster.  We are saving a lot of money doing this clean up but it sure is a lot of work.  The good thing is that we know it is being done the way we want it to be done.
We filled the back of Jacob's truck 3 times as well as filling up 2 wheelbarrows countless times.
Tyler also had his John Deere tractor with trailer running.
Slowly but surly we are getting the mess under control and hopefully we can stay on top of it now that they are almost finished with framing.  We probably have one more Saturday of picking up lumber and then we will probably be moving on to bricks and sheetrock.  At least it won't have tons of nails in it!
On Friday they got our fireplace framed in.  Jacob decided he wants to put a flat screen up in the fireplace so they will be framing in a cedar box into the fireplace.  The fireplace will be rock and will go all the way up to the vault in the ceiling.  I can't wait to see how it turns out!
They also got the wall framed up around the basement.  They still need to put in the basement stairs but other than that they have it all framed out and just have a few loose ends to tie up and one last little bit of wall board to put up in the garage.
This is the view looking from the laundry room door towards the dining room and kids rooms.
The view from the kitchen into the living room.
Here is a view of the back side of the house with all of the siding up.  That large pile of wood and trash in the bottom left of the picture is  now gone!
