Today we celebrated Grandma's 70th birthday. It was a good fun day and although Jaci talked about the cake most of the day I think we managed to somewhat surprise her.
It was really cool today which prevented the kids from doing what they really wanted to do which was go swimming. It will be hot enough soon but on days like today it is torture not being able to get in the water. I really can't believe this weather. This is the coolest May I can remember in a long time but this is also our first May being back in West Texas where it isn't ridiculously humid and hot.
Of course no trip to MeMe's house is complete without her serving the kids their favorite meal of Ribs. She sure does spoil them by cooking them all of this good food. They all (including Jacob) look forward to Ribs and Steak EVERY time we come out here. Thankfully she is a thrifty shopper and finds great deals on steak.
It was a fun night.
