Today Jacob and I really sat down and discussed what is going to be happening in the next couple of weeks. I can't believe we are going to be moving in 2 weeks. This has been a LONG 2 months but now that the move is here I am in a bit of panic mode. Most of this comes from us not having a good option for us to move into. There is ONE...ONE rental house in Albany. We have asked everyone we can think of trying to find something else and there is nothing. The house is around 1100 sq ft. and has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and ONE closet for all 5 of us. It doesn't have central heat or air just gas space heaters (no thank you!) and window units. I am not looking forward to it at all but I can do anything for a short period of time. We are signing a 6 month contract and hope to get a house built in that time. Jacob brought in some maps showing lots available in 3 separate areas of town. We narrowed it down to a few and Jacob is going to call on them this week. At least I can focus on the house we will be building and not just on the horrible house we will be living in.
We sold the kids swing set this weekend and our backyard looks really empty now. The kids were sad to see it go but it also means we are one step closer to all being back together. The moving process has begun...now if we can just get through the next couple of weeks.
The pictures of Jaci and Tyler just crack me up tonight.  Tyler was being so silly tonight and was making silly faces when I was tryin to take his picture.  Jaci found her favorite sunglasses and wore them most of the night inside the house.  She wanted to sleep with them.  Jackson of course didn't want me to take his picture so you just get a regular picture of him.  :)

Have a great week!

Today was a great day!  My friend Bonnie and I headed out for a girl's day at Sea World.  The weather perfect and the crowds were small considering it was opening day.  It was just the perfect day with a wonderful friend.  We have so much fun going and riding roller coasters.  We didn't ride them quite as much as we did last time but it was still a lot of fun and we did ride the Steel Eel 4 or 5 times in a row.  (We lost track.)  I love days like today!  They make me feel young and carfree and remind me how blessed I am to have such wonderful friends in my life.
Jacob stayed home with the kids today.  I had to call him and tell him to snap pictures of the kids before bed once I realized I wouldn't be home before bedtime.  Tyler was actually already in bed.  Speaking of which...I am so tired from running (literally) around the park today so I am heading off to bed.  Hope your day was just as wonderful as mine was!

Today has been busy between the kid's doctors appointments in Austin and then going to the County Stock Show. The appointment with the allergist was a disaster! Jackson's blood work showed that his allergy to egg was greatly reduced from the last time we had blood work done. They thought that we should do a food challenge with him to see how he reacted to eating egg in the office under their supervision. I cooked up an egg and took it in for him and he absolutely refused to eat it. He wouldn't even put it in his mouth and spit it out which is the first thing they have you do to test for a reaction. It was very frustrating! The allergist said it is pretty common when you tell a child to avoid a certain food because it can make them sick and then you try to force them to eat it. A lot of kids just can't get past that fear which was the case with Jackson so we didn't end up doing the test. Jackson's peanut levels were up from the previous test so that isn't great news but he isn't expected to outgrow the peanut allergy so I didn't expect them to go down either. Tyler's egg levels were really high and had increased a lot since his last blood work. The doctor said he is surprised that Tyler can even eat cake given the fact that his levels are so high but so far eating things baked with egg don't seem to bother him too bad. It is just hard to know why they react to some things and not others and even the doctor can't answer that. Tyler is not expected to outgrow his egg allergy like Jackson is.
After we made it back to Lockhart we headed to the County Stock Show to see Gale and her girls and watch them show their goats. The kids love to go and see the animals. Jackson was really sad that he wasn't showing a rabbit again this year. He really wanted to be out there with them. Hopefully next year he will be able to do something. We had a lot of fun and spent most of the evening there so it was nice. Jacob is coming home tonight and I am so ready for him to get here. It has been one crazy week with sick kids and my dental work and doctor appointments. Tomorrow my friend Bonnie and I are going to Sea World for an adult day of fun. We went for my 30th birthday and had the best time riding roller coasters until we got sick. I am really looking forward to tomorrow! Hope you all have a great weekend!

The weather today was beautiful! It is always so nice to be able to get outside with the kids. It does us all good! Somehow they managed to get really muddy and by the end of the evening Jaci managed to bite all the way through her bottom lip while swinging. Thankfully it was just at the top part of her lip and a popsicle fixed her right up.
Tomorrow the boys have an appointment with their allergist to discuss an allergy plan for them this next year. We did the bloodwork last week and it came back that Tyler's egg sensitivity is worse than last time but Jackson's is to a level where they think he should be able to eat eggs now. They want to do a food challenge tomorrow which means I will have to cook up an egg and we will have to see how he reacts when eating it. Jackson is terrible at trying new things and is even worse if it is something he knows he has been allergic to. He is scared out of his mind about this. It should be an interesting day. They said to plan to be there several hours which is always a lot of fun with 3 kids. Blah...I'm not looking forward to it! Wish us luck tomorrow!
I think this would have to be one of my favorite pictures that I have taken lately!  :)

Today was a much better day for the kids. They are almost completely over the stomach virus. It was not such a great day for me considering I had to have a root canal and now my jaw hurts so bad that it is making everything hurt. It just stinks! I'm about to go take a pain pill and head to bed. Sorry for the lack of creative pictures. To be honest it was all I could do to get the pictures done and posted this week with the little ones being sick and me now feeling bad. I'm going to keep it going and hopefully get more creative soon...I promise!

Today was a much better day than yesterday. Tyler is still not feeling great but compared to yesterday he is much better. He actually has a little life in his eyes which he did not have yesterday. He still gets sick when he eats but he wants to eat so I am letting him. He was getting mad at me thinking I was starving him so I am feeding him.
He was asking me where I got his bucket that he has been throwing up in and I told him it was from the hospital when he was a baby and that he actually had his first bath in it. He couldn't believe me so I pulled out his photo album from when he was a baby and showed it to him. He has been obsessed with his book ever since then and won't let me put it up. He just sits and looks at it and has been asking a TON of questions about when he was a baby. It is cute.
Jaci is back to feeling 100%. She has been sad that Tyler hasn't wanted to play with her today. Hopefully tomorrow she will have her playmate back.
One exciting thing that happened today was the snow. It just never snows here and if it does you really can't see it and it doesn't build up. Today it didn't really stick much but the flakes were BIG and beautiful coming down. Unfortunately it happened during nap time so the little kids had to miss it. Jackson's teacher let them go out and play in it so he was super excited about that when he came home. The pictures really don't do the snow justice. It was beautiful to watch.
I know it isn't much but it is the most I have ever seen in Lockhart.  It actually built up a bit more but I was busy and didn't get a picture.  :(
I have a dentist appointment tomorrow to get a root canal so I am really excited about that. Talk about a fun week for me! :) Two kids with a stomach virus and a root canal. It is going to be hard to top this.

I'm off to bed. Tyler is sleeping with me again tonight and wants me in bed now so I better listen to him.

53/365

This pretty much sums up the past day.  Tyler has spent most of last night and this morning throwing up every 10-30 minutes.  He got pretty dehydrated and I was starting to think we needed to head in and get him some IV fluids.  I finally decided to stop trying Garorade and switched to Ginger Ale and he kept it down a little longer than the Gatorade.  I would give him 3-5 mls from a syringe every 10 minutes and he finally started using the bathroom again around lunch time and has only thrown up once since about 2.  That is a huge improvement over last night.  I gave him some anti-nausea meds around noon and they seem to be helping out.  His fever isn't as high either so that is nice.
Jackson has been great today which I am so thankful for.  I think he knew I just couldn't deal with much more than keeping Tyler and Jaci going so he really stepped it up and didn't fight me today on things he usually does.  Makes me proud of him for being able to recognize that.
This is Ty looking much better this evening.  His lips were so cracked and bleeding this morning that I though he was throwing up blood because there was so much blood in his throw up.  When we went to Walmart today I picked him up some Neosporin Lip Treatment and it REALLY seems to work well.
Little Miss...no more throwing up for her but she has run a fever and has had an upset stomach.  She has tried to play and feel good but she just isn't great.

Overall other than washing 7 loads of throw up laundry and cleaning up the mess we created last night we have had a pretty low key day.  No cooking or toys to pick up...just movies and laying around.  (and running to the bathroom)  Here is hoping that tonight is a better night and tomorrow is a better day.  I just can't stand to see them sick like this.

Last Night.....
It was wonderful...
And so relaxing!
Tonight will not be the same....
Exibit A...an extremely sick little boy who has been trowing up since yesterday and is running a fever of 102.
Exibit B...the second child who has been throwing up since about 3:45 today....and just woke up sick again with a fever.
Exibit C...just a cute kid who hopefully won't decide to get sick as well.

I don't have time to write a long post because I need to get some sleep while I can tonight.  Thank goodness yesterday was so great because it is helping me get through today.  We stopped 5 times for Jaci and Tyler to throw up on the 3 hour drive home from Madisonville.  It was the LONGEST trip.  So happy to be home with my babies even if they do throw up on me.

51/365

Jacob and I are getting ready to head out to San Antonio for the night. We are looking forward to relaxing along the Riverwalk and not having to worry about anything for the day. The kids aren't here so I don't have any pictures to post of them so instead I will post a paper that Jackson recently came home with. He comes home almost every week with tornado pictures and recently when he has had a writing project he has wrote about tornados or tornado chasers. He received a special award for his morning journaling the other day. Only 2 kids in his class got one. I was proud of him. Take note of his spelling of awesome. I just love seeing how their little minds put words together and sound things out.

Have a great weekend!
